 HooHaa is a mobile marketing communications company. In January 2007 it launched its text advertising service and since then more than 80,000 members have signed up to receive regular promotions. Consumers earn 10 cents for every text they receive which can be credited to their mobile account balance, a Pago online account accepted by TradeMe, or a nominated charity. Members complete a questionnaire online which defines their interests and receive a maximum of four texts a day from companies whose products they are interested in. Businesses are able to go online and book their own campaigns which HooHaa screens before sending. HooHaa sends both text messages and TVCs. |
