The Sales & Marketing Institute invited Bullet PR Managing Director, Nicholas O’Flaherty, to address its members today on the topic of Online Reputation Management. Bullet PR touched on a broad range of issues, including Corporate Blogging, Social Media, and Online PR. The presentation sparked a number of questions: in response to one query on whether companies should write their own entry on Wikipedia, Bullet PR gave a firm ‘No’; another asked if, when launching a corporate blog, should companies consider the free sub-domain hosting arrangements provided by the likes of Blogger or TypePad. Bullet PR pointed out that this is a false economy for a number of reasons; one of the most salient being that when shifting to a permanent domain at a later date, the SEO becomes wasted.
