It reveals that sales are actually less susceptible to the seasons than some may think. The national median asking price for listed homes in March 2009 was $399,000, matching the pre-recession peak of October 2007. The data was released today by New Zealand’s leading property listing site and Bullet PR client Realestate.co.nz, in its new monthly survey, NZ Property Report.
The report provides a comprehensive regional breakdown of the median residential asking price and the number of new listings on the market. It enables vendors to accurately visualise the variance between asking price and the final selling price.
The strength of the data lies in the 97% of agent listings held by Realestate.co.nz.
