First Rate

Bullet PR client First Rate ranked the Top 10 New Zealand Twitter accounts, both personal and brand/ company accounts and it caused quite a stir , both in the press and online. Following an interview with Simon Hendery, an article appeared in The New Zealand Herald looking at how Twitter has taken off, especially since Google and Bing are incorporating it into their search results.

First Rate’s Samuel Stadler, COO and Grant Osborne, Director of Search and Performance, gave their insights into the subtle difference between followers and influence and how the New Zealand business community is switching on to the importance of link buliding and search marketing in general.

Sales & Marketing Institute of New Zealand invite Bullet PR to speak on Online Public Relations and Reputation Management

smi.jpgThe Sales & Marketing Institute invited Bullet PR Managing Director, Nicholas O’Flaherty, to address its members today on the topic of Online Reputation Management. Bullet PR touched on a broad range of issues, including Corporate Blogging, Social Media, and Online PR. The presentation sparked a number of questions: in response to one query on whether companies should write their own entry on Wikipedia, Bullet PR gave a firm ‘No’; another asked if, when launching a corporate blog, should companies consider the free sub-domain hosting arrangements provided by the likes of Blogger or TypePad. Bullet PR pointed out that this is a false economy for a number of reasons; one of the most salient being that when shifting to a permanent domain at a later date, the SEO becomes wasted.
